Alpine

This past week Todd went on a back packing trip in the back country of the Wasatch Mountains. We usually go out and explore together, but I sat this trip out since it was a little too extreme for me. I love to go camping and hike all day, but to carry a 50 lb pack straight up hill and sleep in a make shift lean-to is not my idea of fun.

Leaving Traces

"I had the great opportunity to travel all over Utah this summer and had some unforgettable experiences that forever changed me. From deep in the heart of the Uinta Mountains where I slept outside in freezing cold weather, to the furthest slot in Zion National Park where I hiked all day with a sweat stained t-shirt — and everything in between."

Kolob

This road meanders in and out of the park and starts you out in low desert terrain, and takes you up to the high mountain valleys where you will reach the highest point in Zion. If you have never been to the park before you definitely need to see Kolob Terrace Road because it gives you a different feeling and experience from the hustle and bustle of the main canyon.

Canyon Country

We definitely had another successful adventure to add to the books. Living in Utah has allowed us to see so many different locations in various seasons and with the weather always changing, we constantly feel like we have a new experience each time we go out, even if we have been there before.
