We haven’t been as active on the blog lately because we have had our biggest and best adventure yet this month!! We finally tied the knot! The past few months have been filled with wedding planning, getting hitched, and honeymooning – the most exciting and fun trip we have been on yet! Even though Todd worked pretty hard trying to convince me that we should go on a tour of the National Parks through Utah for our honeymoon,we finally settled on somewhere a little more romantic and spent the week in Huntington Beach…..thank goodness! It was so good to hang out on the beach, ride beach cruisers up and down the boulevard, and just simply enjoy living the beach lifestyle for a week. It was out of the ordinary for our typical adventure we go on,  but we still managed to put a twist on it to turn it our own unique journey.

  1. Thanks for letting us share some of the joy and excitement. I remember my husband proposing white water rafting for our honeymoon, but I won out with a little cabin on the McKenzie River instead. Much more peaceful. Good choice to stay put for a week instead of hiking.

  2. Congratulations! You both look beautiful and happy!!! It looks like you lucked out with the weather as well. Nothing beats the beach when it comes to romance. Mark and I had our wedding party (4 years after the actual wedding!!) on a beach in St. Martin and, we quickly walked along Huntington Beach during a house sit in Costa Mesa back in February. Good choice! 🙂

  3. Beautiful! Looks like such a fun honeymoon also… Utah might not have been as bad as you think.. my hubs and I did a cross country honeymoon and Utah was part of our drive & it was beautiful at least from an east coast girl perspective. Lol. Followed! Can’t wait to read more.

    1. Thanks so much!! It was so much fun, and we do love Utah and travel all around the state during the year so we wanted something a little different for a change! Lol thanks for the follow!

  4. Oh yay!!! I am so happy for you. You look really happy. 🙂 Sending you and Todd many blessings on your way together. So great that you did this & that you blog together) Love, Debbie

ps – I went to the national parks in Utah. I think you’d really like them! Especially Zion. (Maybe for a one-year anniversary celebration.)

    1. Thank you so much Debbie!! We are so excited to start this new chapter in our lives together! And we have been to Zion before and love it! Hoping to get some kind of quick trip in by the end of the summer if we can!

  5. Congratulations! Now that’s one way to change things up in your lives! Enjoy the adventures to come… as long as you two keep heading outside, no matter where life takes you, there will be plenty of adventure, I’m sure. Have fun.

    1. Thank you!! We appreciate the kind words, and we love to turn everything into an adventure and the travels will keep coming! Hopefully we can keep going to new and exciting places, as well as some of our old favorites! We love to be able to go out together!

      1. That’s the key to a successful marriage, if I can comment from the other side here… keep doing things together and experiencing new things together and sharing a passion like hiking… it’s a kind of side by side play that will last you a lifetime and make the two of you stronger in so many ways.

  6. Congratulations on your recent wedding! Glad your honeymoon pick won out. I would pick the beach over national parks any day. The parks will be there for your next vacation.

  7. Congratulations on your marriage. It is one of the hardest things we do in life is to keep it going. I have been married over 37yrs. Not easy but worth the fight. Just remember material things are at the bottom of the list in life.
