We’re still here and surviving the winter, even though we haven’t been good at blogging about it! Did January feel like it was soooooo long for anyone else??? ๐Ÿ˜‰ The whirlwind of Christmas and New Years came and went and now we’re counting down the days for warmer weather! Unfortunately for us, we still have a few more months of winter… so we are still finding ways to get outside as much as we can doing winter things that we love!

While we were dating one thing we loved to do was go snowshoeing! Since this little monkey of ours was born we haven’t had a chance to get out and do it, so we thought this past weekend was the perfect time! We’ve had so much snow lately in Utah, but finally had a warm 50 degree weekend so we took a chance to take the babe out with us for his first snowshoeing experience too!

We put together a little pull-sled for him and planned to pull him around while we were on the snowshoes, but he didn’t think the sled was as cool as we did. He wanted to walk around like a big kid, play in the snow, and hang out in the snow fort ๐Ÿ™‚

Although we didn’t get a chance to go on a long snowshoe hike like we thought we could, we still had fun playing in the snow and getting outside and enjoying the little sun that we had! I’m so glad that we make it a priority to do fun things with the kiddies and make sure he’s growing up doing the things we love, and experiencing nature. Now we know for next time that we need to get him his own snowshoes so he can walk with us, instead of being pulled in the sled ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. I would be delighted to see him exploring on those little kid snowshoes. I bet he will take to them like duck to water. Of course he didn’t want to be pulled around. He is your kid and wants to be part of the action!

  2. It’s so lovely to meet you! Thank you for visiting my blog, and what a wonderful child you have. I can completely see how he would want to play like the big kids do. ๐Ÿ™‚ All the best to youโ€“โ€“and very cool that you snowboard.
