Fish Lake

Fish Lake is one of those places where you can go and find solitude and it doesn't have that overcrowded feeling like you can get with some of the other popular mountain destinations in the state. This lake sits at 8,848' elevation, is 6 miles long and almost 1 mile wide and is the largest natural mountain lake in the whole state.

Buckhorn

Even though we were in familiar places where we've been before, it felt different being there this time with our kiddos. Our hiking pace was a little slower, we had more stops for snack breaks, we stopped at practically every river, lake, and puddle we found to throw some rocks, but it was so fun to be there with them making new memories! When we revisit our favorite places with kids it really is like seeing it for the first time again. We love giving our kids as many opportunities as we can to run wild and let their imaginations be free!

Manti La Sal

The countdown is on until this next baby comes and we're still trying to squeeze in a few last adventures while we can! This past weekend we knew we wanted to get out and do something, but didn't know what. So we just packed up our stuff and loaded up the truck and set out on a drive and didn't know where we would end up.

Creek

We're always striving to keep giving this guy new opportunities and experiences, access to nature and the opportunity to run wild, and let his imagination be free.

Midway

Our little dude thrives when he is outside, so we have been trying to make an effort to get him out exploring more and more! This weekend we went to the mountains to hike, let him run around, get dirty, and play in the water.ย  Hiking these days sure looks a lot different than it used to....now being 7 months pregnant and having a two year old with us... but it's always so fun and good to get out in the fresh mountain air!

Birthday

This weekend was full of outdoors adventures for our baby boy's 2nd Birthday! I still donโ€™t know how this happened but it is so fun watching him grow up and learn new things and we are just trying to cherish every moment before baby brother joins our family in a few months!

The River

Always outside, always on some kind of adventure! This little monkey would be outside all day, everyday if we let him! And we aren't complaining about that ๐Ÿ˜‰ Whenever we get the chance we are taking him to explore the outdoors and see new things.

The First Swell

I think we can all agree that life has been crazy the past few months! Nothing is normal, pretty much everyone is working from home, homeschooling their kids, and there is so much uncertainty that a lot of people are crippled with anxiety. With everyone's schedules and routines interrupted - it felt good to finally be able to go back to one of our familiar places that we love - and leave the craziness of the world behind for awhile. A place that feels just as much like "home", as being "home" does.ย

Snowshoe

We're still here and surviving the winter, even though we haven't been good at blogging about it! Did January feel like it was soooooo long for anyone else??? ๐Ÿ˜‰ The whirlwind of Christmas and New Years came and went and now we're counting down the days for warmer weather! Unfortunately for us, we still have a few more months of winter... so we are still finding ways to get outside as much as we can doing winter things that we love!
